Dear Patients,
All too often it’s the doctor that gets all the information about the patient, and the patient gets little information about the doctor and his/hers practice. I would like to change that.
My full name is Jeffrey Grant Phillips and I was born in San Diego. I received my BA at SDSU in psychology and went to chiropractic college at the Los Angeles College of Chiropractic, graduating in 1989. I have a wife, Michele, and two daughters, Victoria and Mikaela, and a son in law Alejandro. Victoria, Mikaela and Alejandro are chiropractors. We are members of Daybreak Community Church. For recreation I enjoy SUP surfing, mountain biking, short trips to the desert and surfing and fishing in Mexico.
I was originally led to be a chiropractor after graduating from SDSU. My original plans to become a psychologist were unexpectedly changed when my cousin (who was the trainer for the San Diego Chargers) suggested I look into chiropractic. My first reaction was guarded because I knew nothing about chiropractic. So on his advice, I volunteered at a local chiropractic office to see what it was all about. As fate would have it at that time, coincidentally, I had a benign tumor growing one quarter inch out of my right eye socket. The tumor had to be surgically removed two months earlier but promptly grew back. Fortunately at the chiropractic office, as part of my scouting experiment, I received my first chiropractic adjustment and the next day the tumor was almost gone! I could not believe it as that tumor had been with me for over 8 months! The next week I received my second adjustment and the tumor disappeared that next day and has never returned. At that time I was astounded as I realized the awesome power of chiropractic and of the body’s ability to heal itself. I had found my calling and I eagerly enrolled in chiropractic college full of passion and enthusiasm.
Looking back it all seemed predestined somehow. For example, when I enrolled in chiropractic college I found out my grandmother had been diagnosed with a tilted uterus from having her first child. For 7 years she was unable to become pregnant until she saw a chiropractor. Shortly thereafter, she had 3 more children, including my father. So it’s not too big of a stretch to say that I owe my life to chiropractic! I truly believe it was my destiny to become a chiropractor. I have chosen to devote my life to the healing arts because of my burning desire to help people. I am grateful I did so because I feel most alive when I am helping others achieve their optimum health. They do so because of the principle of chiropractic. Simply stated that principle is, remove interference from the nerve system and the body will heal itself. Chiropractic unleashes the inborn healing power within us all, thus allowing the fullest expression of life – physically, mentally and spiritually.
I believe with all my heart in how I practice and yet strive to improve upon it. I believe I give an excellent service for a fair fee. I want to help people. I want you to refer and continue to refer patients to me because I believe with all my heart that God put me on this planet to help as many people as possible through chiropractic and to share the life enhancing power of natural healing and whole food supplements. The whole purpose of this clinic is to help you heal as quickly as possible. I have absolute confidence in your body’s ability to heal itself and to assist you, I continue to study and master many of the finest natural healing techniques I can find worldwide. Most of which have withstood the test of time. What seems to make this practice unique is our approach to the whole body. The nervous system controls every system of your body. And there are only four things that can interfere with your nervous system.(1) Structural stress, (2) nutrient deficiencies, (3) toxins, and (4) emotional stress. Everything we do here is designated to remove these four stresses.
My personal promise to you is to assist your healing the best I know how and if I can’t help, I will make the best possible referral to someone who can.
Dedicated to your health,
Jeff Phillips, D.C.
My name is Dr. Mikaela Phillips and I was born in San Diego, California. I went to chiropractic college at Parker University in Dallas, Texas and was lucky enough to have experienced my first year with my sister and brother-in-law. I was just starting chiropractic school while they were preparing to graduate. A few years later and I am finally working at Phillips Chiropractic with my dad, sister, and brother-in-law. For recreation I enjoy lifting weights, surfing and taking walks on the beach with my husband Dustin and our golden retriever, Maxi.
I thought I would either be a professional surfer or be spending my days somewhere tropical working on a boat, but when I graduated from high school, I quickly realized neither of those were going to happen. What did I really want to be when I grew up? I wanted to be like my dad: a chiropractor. My dad serves people everyday and that’s what I wanted to do! I grew up with chiropractic and it was what I know, it is a way of life. I have seen and experienced the miracles of chiropractic my entire life and I would love to share that with you.
I believe with all my heart that God put me on this planet to help as many people as possible through chiropractic, so I have devoted my life to healing people. I want to help people achieve their optimum health and to share the life enhancing power of natural healing and whole food supplements. The whole purpose of this clinic is to figure out why your body isn’t healing on its own and to get to the underlying cause of your condition. With that being said, the reason why this practice is so unique is because we approach the whole body-we look at the big picture. You see, there are only four things that can interfere with your nervous system. 1) structural stress, 2) nutrient deficiencies, 3) toxins, and 4) emotional stress.
My personal promise to you is that I will do everything in my power to remove these four stresses so you can achieve your health goals and if I can’t help, I will do my best to refer you to someone who can.
In loving services,
Mikaela Phillips, D.C.
Welcome to Phillips Chiropractic! My name is Dr. Victoria Phillips; I am a chiropractor, a wife (my husband is also a chiropractor!) and a lover of Jesus, cheese, the ocean and everything and anything outdoors! I grew up in Carlsbad, California riding bikes by the beach, playing soccer, running as often as possible and surfing with my dad (who is also a chiropractor!). I love what I do and I’m so appreciative of this amazing profession that helps people live more pain free so they can get back to enjoying the things they love most!
At Phillips Chiropractic we believe in nervous system focused chiropractic care that is gentle and specific. Through chiropractic care we want you to experience your body’s God given potential to self heal and self regulate. Our bodies are capable of more than we could ever imagine! And our bodies are equipped to heal from the inside out but oftentimes need a little help along the way; that’s where chiropractic comes in! By removing interference of the nervous system (in chiropractic terms we call interference of the nervous system “subluxations”) by making a gentle and specific adjustment, a chiropractor is able to help unlock your body’s ability to heal on its own. What a beautiful concept, right?! As a result of chiropractic care and removing subluxations, patients have noticed that their overall quality of life has improved in a radical way! Patients report back with less pain, more energy, greater ranges of motion throughout their body, less brain fog, more focus, less headaches – the list goes on and we look forward to hearing your chiropractic story!
To wrap things up, I want to share my personal as well as professional mission statement. I hope the values, benefits as well as mission of our chiropractic clinic resonants with you; I’m so grateful you’re here – welcome to the Phillips Chiropractic community!
Personal Mission Statement:
To be my most authentic self: exemplifying joy, gratitude, and my love for God and people.
Professional Mission Statement:
To deliver excellent chiropractic care in an environment full of loving service, authenticity, and a love for all people.
In loving service,
Dr. Victoria Phillips, D.C.
I am Alejandro Castañeda and I was born in Guatemala. I attended Parker University located in Dallas, TX and where I graduated and got my Doctor of Chiropractic degree. I am a husband, a chiropractor (my wife is also a chiropractor!) a soccer player and an outdoor enthusiast! In my spare time I like to hike, ride my mountain bike, go to the desert as well as spend time under the sun at the beach.
I was inspired to be a healing practitioner because when I was younger being physically active was the most important thing to me. Later on in life I had many injuries and being healed through holistic methods was always so fascinating to me!
I’ve chosen to devote my life to the healing arts because through personal experience I have seen how powerful a chiropractic adjustment can be! I am grateful I did so because I want to help you do the things that you love the most. I want to help people. I want you to refer and continue to refer patients to me because we all know someone who is having a health challenge and I would like to see if what I do can help them too!
I firmly believe in the healing tenets that your body is capable of self-healing and self-regulation, eliminating nervous system interference will improve your healing capacity, consuming a nutritious diet is important for body and organ function, and of course participating in physical activity. Regular chiropractic visits and consistency in all those areas are essential to living a healthy life because and reduce unneeded stress.
At Phillips Chiropractic we believe in innate intelligence! That is the intelligence within us that allows our body to heal on its own! Isn’t that amazing! We remove interference of the nervous system by delivering a specific chiropractic adjustment and letting your body do the rest! What I mean by this is that when interference is removed your cells, muscles, and all other tissues have the ability to work to their greatest potential. Therefore, your body has the opportunity to self heal and self regulate.
What makes this practice unique is that we approach the problem from all sides. There are only four things that can disrupt our nervous system: structural issues, nutritional deficiencies, stress, and environmental toxins that we are exposed to on a daily basis.
Patients have experienced a variety of benefits following a chiropractic adjustment, including: less headaches, better energy, decreased discomfort, increased ranges of motion across their entire body, improved sleep, and the list goes on. The quality of patients’ lives has substantially increased as a result of getting chiropractic adjustments! They now can once again do the things they enjoy the most, and I want to help you in doing the same! I can’t wait to hear about your chiropractic experience and celebrate your success!
I promise you that I will do my best and devote my time learning how I can help you.
